Is there a way to add Android App Shortcuts to the homescreen?

I use an app called "Native Alpha", and it creates shortcuts to the Android homescreen. Is there a way to allow the app to create shortcut icons?

If I install an Android app from f-droid or aurora, the icon is automatically on my linux home screen. Maybe your installation (partially) failed or the icon landed in a folder?

You can check the Hide entry under Settings | Apps | <your-app>

Thanks, but that doesn't seem to be it. When I install the app, the icon shows up. But when the app tries to create a shortcut to one of the tools inside of it, that shortcut icon never shows up.
