how to disable the sound when pressing the volume buttons on the FLX1s?
You press the button to lower the volume until there is no sound. Do you have problems with that ?

@xenon Thanks, but I see I need to reword my question.
My question is not about the volume of sound output from phone, music, video, etc.
When there is no active audio, when I press the volume buttons the phone makes an annoying "bloop" sound. I wish to disable that.
@goodstuff9 In theory you can change the sound by replacing
/usr/share/sounds/freedesktop/stereo/audio-volume-change.oga
. In practice I do not know what will happened.
If you try it please share with us if it worked.

@xenon Thanks. I changed the file name, after restarting the phone no more sounds (as desired) when pressing the volume buttons.
I don't know how updates will affect/replace what I've done, nor what making this change might wreck.
Correct answer is tthis:
Make folder ~/.local/share/sounds/__custom
Add audio-volume-change.oga and index.theme from here to that folder https://gitlab.com/Alaraajavamma/fastflx1/-/tree/main/share/sounds/__custom?ref_type=heads
and then run gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.sound theme-name __custom
Or you can also just install my fastflx1 and it will do all the heavy lifting for you 🙂

@alaraajavamma Thank you. I did not see your post until after I had already changed the file name. Your project looks interesting. Once I am much more familiar with this phone I might pursue this, right now I want to keep things as plain as possible. Especially since I still have some problems with the phone's notifications (weak, imperceptible vibration; notification dot on android apps seems not to work; android sound chooser for ringtones on android apps crashes) - I can't rely on this device as long as it has these insufficient notifications, gotta address that first.
