I am now to the Linux phone thing and am having trouble getting this new phone setup and running. One of the first questions that I have is how do I get Fdroid installed on this phone? I have seen various things indicating that this is possible but the software store does not appear to have Fdroid as an installable option. It does seem to have some sort of Fdroid developer kit but not the repository itself.
@jpitz you need to first turn on Andromeda from Settings -> Android. we do not turn on Android app container by default but you can mark it to run at startup and always have android app integration enabled. after that, F-Droid will appear on the homepage
Out of curiosity, does turning on the android container have any privacy ramifications? Are there any "behind the scenes" tracking and data brokerage issues?
