I am trying to get Joplin(a great cross platform note taking app) running on my furi phone but so far have failed at getting a usable installation. I did get it to install from the software store and it will generally run, however when I get Joplin to launch it is in desktop mode making it impossible to use from a touchscreen phone. Are there settings tweaks to get it to be useful on a phone or is there a different way to get it to work on a phone? Can I cross compile the Android version from a Linux laptop? If so how? I am trying very hard not to use native android apps. I bought this phone in an effort to reclaim privacy and to ward off the Lexus-Nexus types in the world.
This was easy to solve. By default the "android container" is disabled. You have to go into settings and enable the android container. I basically turned on everything in the Android section of the settings app at which point fdroid showed up on the screen. Then I uninstalled Joplin from the main software store and opened FDroid and installed the mobile version(the only version in the Fdroid repository) of Joplin. It now works as expected.
