FuriOS 14.0.2 is out now, bringing one of the most requested features to the FLX1 lineup - external display support via the FLH1 Convergence Hub - alongside a solid round of performance improvements, modem fixes, and Android layer enhancements.
- External Display via FLH1: plug your FLX1s into the FLH1 and you're running GNOME on an external monitor. This release adds the full display support stack to make convergence a first-class experience on FuriOS.
- Performance and Power: ZRAM has been increased on both the FLX1 and FLX1s for better performance under memory pressure. Batman, the power-saving daemon, has been fully rewritten and now responds more adaptively to real user behavior rather than fixed schedules.
- Foundation Updates: This release rebases on GNOME 50 and Debian as of April 10th, with all FuriLabs forks and plugins updated to match. Firefox is updated to version 149 with a reworked UI that moves away from the GNOME theme to a more traditional Firefox look.
- Android Layer: The shared folder system has been reworked to pass full home directories between FuriOS and the Android container. Notification handling has been improved and optimised, MPRIS stream support has been added for Android apps, and a bug causing mobile data to fail with carriers that restrict hotspot use has been fixed.
- Modem and Carrier Fixes: Several carrier-specific issues have been resolved in this release, covering MMS on Telus Canada, mobile data on Congstar Germany and Lebara France, roaming on Omnitel Lithuania, and oFono disconnection and CBS format bugs that affected a broader range of networks.
- Camera and Media: Pipewire fixes resolve a crash when switching cameras and restore camera functionality in Flatpak apps like Decoder. Video recording now correctly adjusts output orientation based on how you're holding the device.
Other Highlights
- Breath pattern LED notifications via Feedbackd (FLX1)
- Factory reset reliability improvements on encrypted devices, including full kernel and device tree restoration
- Blue tint on emojis in GTK fixed
- Ubuntu Touch dual boot download and install flow improved
