I faced an issue with serveral apps like Pure Maps or Fractal, I've asked in the Furi Labs Telegram group for help, we checked the localisation on my device (FLX1) its German/German. The told me to ask the Fractal team. I did and the told me, that they have no idea to help and that I should ask the OS team: https://gitlab.gnome.org/World/fractal/-/issues/1717
Where is the problem and am I really alone? Fractal says there is a German language availabe that commes with flatpak. Is it a Gnome Software config issue or on OS level?
flatpak config returned:
languages: *unset* (default: de) extra-languages: *unset*
I changed it using:
flatpak config --user --set languages 'de'
and
flatpak config --user --set extra-languages 'de'
now its:
languages: de extra-languages: de
But this was not enaugh flatpak override --user --env=LANG=de_DE.UTF-8 --env=LC_ALL=de_DE.UTF-8 fixed it for all flatpak app with available German translations.
From my point of view, root cause still unclear!
It might as well be flatpak app problem since it is also the apps job to provide the locale and/or language support.
What does terminal output if you type locale?
