Hard factory reset

I done bricked the phone such that it doesn't boot. This page has instructions for doing it from software, but how do I get there if it doesn't boot?

Been 99% linux since 2012, and know enough C/C++ and python to do whatever I want (may not be the most efficient or elegant) but it is inevitable that I break something while trying to advance capability on the FLX1
