Can we install a OS to the SD card and boot from it so that I can use a bigger storage like a 512 card this would allow me to install, build, compile and do even a lot more because I'd have the space for it
@ree4er i dont know but there is a pending issue in github with a suggested fix aimed at helping boot from sd.
if i cant compile the phones os on the phone then this whole project is a fail in my opinion. that is androids biggest fail (that you cant compile apps on the phone), and linux phones need to be able to do this.
I mean mounting the SD like typical Debian and making a working directory on the SD card for your compiling that shouldn't be an issue . What I'm trying to get at is trying to just not risk or replace the current OS installed to the 128 storage host I want to test other os's strictly flashing them to the SD card and booting them
You can mount the SD card for your development projects and use a soft link in your home directory like /home/furios/dev pointing to /media/furios/sdcard (assuming that this is your mout point for the SD card).
