staging is the development repo with transitions where things are supposed to break before they become stable for production. the forum is not really the place to report these issues since they were never shipped in the first place (shipped == production)

if you are interested in finding bugs in staging i recommend you ask for access to the QA group and report there.

@fakeshell thanks if that type of feedback would be useful i wouldnt mind being invited to the QA group. I also typically dont mind certain parts breaking as long as the phone still boots.

The files screenshot thumbnails not scaling properly (portrait images) is probably a prod issue as well. Upstream issue i imagine.

Leaving phone on overnight while plugged in eats up all available swap causing the UI to freeze (even though there still is ~500MB memory available).

Apps running: Android, Firefox, Tuba, Secrets, Chatty, Software, Geary.

Turning off android clears at least 3GB of swap. The images show where i already killed those apps mentioned. None appeared to use excessive memory so it might be a runaway system process. Next time ill show all processes.

in the cases above android is attempting to start but fails repeatedly due to out of memory situation. An option could be to add a setting to show and/or kill apps/processes using excessive memory, or do that automatically since phone wont be usable in those cases anyways.
