My FLX1 is unfortunately currently not able to play sound on my bluetooth headphones (Samungs Galaxy Buds 2 Pro). This surprised me since both my Linux laptops have no problem with them. I digged a bit into it and the difference seems to be (please correct me when I’m wrong) that both my Fedora and Arch laptops are running bluetooth audio via pipewire and the flx1 is still using pulseaudio. Probably it’s a codec issue that pulseaudio does not support any of the codecs needed for the headphones? The symptoms are: Pairing works, it’s even possible to choose the headphones as sound output (both in phosh and in the audio settings) but the sound just doesn’t play. Other bluetooth devices (I tried with a “Wuzhi Audio” bluetooth amplifier and Klipsch bluetooth enabled speakers) work without a problem with my FLX1.
I saw that pipewire is already installed on the phone and even the pipewire-pulse bridge (which is I think necessary for the bluetooth being handled by pipewire, correct?) is installed but the systemd unit for pipewire-pulse is explicitly masked and does not run. Is there a reason for this? Can I somehow manually enable and use pipewire on the phone or is a general change coming up via an update soon?
Please tell me if I can assist by providing log or command output.
at least for now all our work is built around pulseaudio and switching to pipewire will essentially break all audio related services. until everything is rebased to work with pipewire it will be masked
