I have installed RHVoice from fdroid and downloaded voice for English (India). Also turned on voice navigation in settings of Organic Maps. But clicking on the audio mute/unmute button has no effect, there is no audio guidance. Fixing this would make navigation perfect. It already works well otherwise.

My friend muzirian managed to turn on voice navigation. Though not sure about the exact sequence of steps. It was initiated from Organic Maps settings screen (I had RH Voice installed already). So this makes GPS experience as good as any android phone!

Android Settings App -> Language and input -> Speech only has Voice input and missing Text to Speech output option. This needs to be set for Organic Maps voice guided navigation.

On my wish list also 🙂
It's pretty much last item to fulfill all my needs, and Organic Maps works very well indeed.

it can be investigated for next release. the upcoming release focuses on system bug fixes, modem fixes and cleaning up all the technical debt left behind in the past years and transitions.
