Steps to repeat:
- launch flatpak shortwave add radio station eg soma fm
- turn on bluetooth and connect phone to bluetooth receiver
- select sound sink to receiver im sound settings if needed
- select play on stream in shortwave
- observe stream plays uninterrupted on bluetooth
- select power button to turn off display with power settings balanced and batman settings on (default configuration)
- observe while bluetooth still streams it no skips briefly every once in a while

I cannot reproduce your issue with Shortwave 5.0.0 from flathub. Does htop in terminal show any high usage of RAM or CPU? (For context and comparison: I am not using any Android apps.)
