I have briefly seen the two sim options in mobile settings, but that is not available anymore. I can only use a single sim as second sim is not handled anywhere.
we currently disable the second sim slot. dual sim is doable but nothing manages it. calls app shows the second sim and can get calls but can only call with one sim even when 2 sims are available. sms app can get messages from both sims but only send from slot 1. mms doesn’t handle second sim at all yet (the bus is designed for single sim usage). phosh itself doesn’t handle two sims either
most of these are upstream issues that we need to overcome before we enable dual sim support
Would it be possible to let android manage the second sim until phosh gains support ?
no, android has no direct access to the modem, it only has a virtual modem that makes apps happy with info we provide from outside
