usage shows a total of 1TB, 461.5GB used, 552.6GB available.
I believe it should be 128GB internal storage, 64GB SD Card storage total, broken out by used and available. Also usage ideally should show and distinguish between internal and external storage

Agreed. As a replacement I found "Gnome Resources", which provides accurate numbers. Search for a flathub "Resources" from the "Software" app.
