Are there efforts to make jumpdrive available for the FLX1, i found that the most reliable way to attach the Librem 5 to my desktop and it gave me the ability to simply create restore images of the entire phone, then restore the image if something went wong, by again using jumpdrive.
Those are the three files that are used I believe to make it happen as far as configuration is concerned. The forum doesn't allow sharing these type files.
The old recovery shell had ssh but it seems to be missing after I flashed the latest image. This would be very useful to backup. I was able to restore it with just wget. I think adding back scp in the recovery image is crucial.
@fakeshell please add back scp in the recovery shell at least until the jumpdrive function is implemented. This would allow to backup files to a laptop. But yes, jumpdrive like full mounting of the image would indeed be better. What is the expected way to backup files now? Is it via NFS? Is there some documentation already to recover data in case the system is not booting normally?
Today I updated my FLX1 and it got bricked - it is stuck at the blue screen while booting. While searching for recovery, I found this thread. To backups data, I went to recovery mode (power + volume down), then enabled ssh and mounted rootfs. The recovery system does not have sftp, so we cannot run scp on the laptop, but running scp from within the recovery system after ssh works. Next I need to figure out if backing up /home/furios is enough to backup the android image and data.
