Even if Firefox is closed, usage app shows it continue using 200+ mb memory. So I have to kill it to reclaim that memory.
So I tried gnome web, but scrolling pages is too slow. The next option I tried is angelfish deb via apt, but the ad blocker support is missing, which makes for very bad browsing experience. So I tried angelfish flatpak, but it does not start, saying flatpak is built with setuid support and it is not supported by angelfish.
Now I'm using mull browser via waydroid, very stable, don't use memory when closed, scrolling is fine, has built in ad blocker.
Still fixing native browsers would be nice, as sometimes the android apps start only after a container restart and bit of an irritation.
@praveen Yes, firefox (at least after the latest (?) update) is problematic. It hangs sometimes and cannot be closed by swiping. Hope this will be fixed soon. I am looking for alternatives (without Android) in the meantime ...
