Its a new phone yes. I tried swapping the Settings around as it came “4G only”, and I now had no data. I’ve also now found I can’t start any app apart from the dialler.
I also noticed the Clocks app alarm clock doesn’t work, I’m guessing its because the phone has gone to sleep, even though its charging. Although I now can’t even run the clocks app. Defo needs a factory reset on the phone.
Hopefully factory reset doesn’t mean launching an app, as seemingly nothing will launch now, apart from the phone dialler.

If you cant access the settings app you will need to use recovery mode manually, I havent got mine yet so I cant tell you how to do that but I would imagine its the same as other androids (vol up + power or something like that)
Yeah found it, its Vol Down and Power, then there’s a factory default button. Trying again, and setting it up with the SIM in from the outset this time in case that was the cause … its my only guess.
wow thats not good, you might have to do a re-image and if that don’t work – get the thing replaced or something. I have asked for the firmware myself on the forum but no luck getting a link to download it sadly.
As for those who monitor I believe theres 2 – 3 that do frequent from what I have seen but they are mainly on the dev side of things, for full support jump on this website via a pc and on the bottom right theres a chat thing you can use to speak to their support guy. Real nice fella that knows what he’s talking about from my experience so far so you may have better luck speaking with him. See if you can reflash the firmware first by asking for a link to download the firmware and a guide as I wouldn’t mind betting its a small corruption issue that slipped testing or something.
Hahahaha, I was just looking at how to apt downgrade chatty in case that helped. Turns out there were about 200 updates to install. Installed them. Fixed, chatty runs.
I thought the 1st boot wizard offered to update all the software. I also thought Gnome Software would do it? Who knows, not sure if I had all the updates before I wiped the phone but I have now, and it works.

I was going to pop in and suggest that, the Alarms don’t work because it goes to sleep was my tip off, that was fixed in the most recent update.
Personally I don’t trust gnome software and always use cli to update
