Not sure about everyone else but I find for indoor usage very close to the minimum brightness is just about right. For outside usage no more than a third of the brightness is about right.
Max brightness is way way too bright.
For the auto brightness I find it way overshoots to too bright. I was hoping you could add some way of setting the min/max brightness when using autobrightness and/or adjusting the autobrightness steps.
it requires a non-linear light adaptation curve which gnome is actually working on, so hopefully something that makes it into mobian at some point. For me the lowest brightness is too low in a dark room, everyone is different and min max values in addition could be useful.
Yeah, I am not suggesting a global change to the defaults. I am thinking more of a couple input boxes that are autopopulated appear below the autobrightness toggle when enabled for min/max. That way you or I could make a change to the minimum or maximum (steps would be nice but probably more complicated) if desired.
