Furi is pronounced “Fury”. FuriOS is pronounced “Furious”. We simply couldn’t afford the Fury part of the domain names.

Plug in a USB-C cable to your computer and then `ssh furios@10.15.19.82`.

Alternatively you may need to go `Settings > System > Secure Shell` and toggle it on.

Finally to get it working over wifi you might need to install these packages and reboot.

The Furi Labs team is simply not big enough to support other operating systems other than FuriOS which is fine tuned for our products such as the FLX1.

While users are welcome to port other operating systems to the device and use it as they wish, our team does not have enough man power to support this.

To use the device storage in your computer over cable, you can go to settings->USB and enable MTP and change USB state to MTP

You can boot into the recovery environment and do a factory reset which should get the device to a working state

Stable is considered our user ready FuriOS and testing can break or have features that have not been tested and can have unpredictable results.

Yes. Waydroid was initially taken as a base to build the ultimate ‘Android App Container‘ which is, in our usage, a more efficient and stable integration into FuriOS. The version used by FuriOS is a hard fork and it varies greatly from the previously mentioned project as of today.  See our blog post which shows basic usage and integration.

Some apps, like banking apps for instance, utilise:

• Google Play Integrity API
• custom root protection checking
• other checks

So depending on what features from the above are included in the apps, will determine if the app will function or not in furiOS.

We will never help work around any of these protections so don’t ask.

It is recommended to back up your phone before any monthly update. You can do it easily by following the below steps.

1. Open up a terminal and navigate to the path where you want to save the backup.
2. Download your $HOME directory via scp -r furios@FLX1_IP:/home/furios .

Currently, the FLX1 uses the kernel supplied by our vendor, MediaTek.

We backport the latest security patches from cip so devices are kept secure.

Alignment to upstream is a possibility but nothing has been announced yet.
