Batch #2 Update
Update: May 22nd
Hello from all of us at Furi Labs!
We wanted to take a moment to share an update regarding the second batch, along with some recent challenges and our plans moving forward.
As we were preparing to move forward with production of Batch 2, a new set of tariffs was introduced that significantly impacted some of our peripheral component suppliers—such as those providing cameras, speakers, and vibration motors. As a result, several manufacturers have temporarily paused production of certain parts, as the new trade conditions have made it difficult for them to continue manufacturing these components profitably. We’ve been actively working to source alternatives, but it has proven to be an uphill battle given the current political climate.
At the same time, we’ve also been developing a sister device to the FLX1. This new model is built on the same platform but features a more modern design, with upgraded specifications such as increased RAM (8GB). Importantly, it uses peripherals from suppliers who are far less affected by the latest tariffs.
Given the uncertainty around FLX1 production timelines, we’ll be reaching out to everyone with existing orders to coordinate whether they’d prefer to switch to the new upgraded device (once more information is available on our website) or wait until the FLX1 becomes available again request a refund.

We are hard at work to release version 13.0.8 within the next week and get device images ready within the next two weeks to get everything in place for the second batch. Unfortunately, we’ve hit a snag—due to factors beyond our control, thus the second batch is facing a delay. While this isn’t the news we hoped to share, we’re committed to keeping you informed every step of the way.
As of now, the exact length of the delay remains uncertain, but we’re optimistic that we will have everything ready in the next few weeks. We’re pushing forward as quickly as possible while ensuring nothing falls short of the quality you deserve.
We sincerely apologize for the shipping delays and any inconvenience this may cause. At the same time, we’re deeply grateful for your patience and support. You, our community, are what drives us to keep improving and innovating.

I just placed my pre-order; very excited to finally transition to a Linux platform! Are there any updates on your production snag/timeframe?

Unfortunately we are still awaiting the delivery date from our manufacturer. As soon as we know we will be emailing all customers.

Is it possible to know how long it took to get a delivery date from the manufacturer for Batch #1? Just for an idea of how long it took last time?

I have an order placed April 22nd and thinking I will just switch to the new model. The wait has been longer than I was expecting so might as well hold out for the upgrade! That said, I can’t wait to review it though hope this isn’t going to be a test of patience. communicating a target date will be very helpful.
